North American, European and Mexican companies developed an innovation network creating the best substrate for agriculture in the world. The perfect substrate.

HydroFLAKES is an environmentally friendly substrate (growing medium), which can be used 100% in hydroponics, and constitutes soil and other substrate improvers.

​

HydroFLAKES has a water retention capacity of 60%, which is released in doses as the crops demand it. This high capacity to retain water is achieved thanks to its design.

​

Only 2% of the material is solid and the remaining 98% are cavities.

​

The homogeneous water-air ratio of the substrate, alone or mixed, makes the plants immune to drought during warm periods and more resistant to cold in winter.

​

High porosity allows roots to penetrate evenly, root hairs to grow easily  through the substrate, more nutrients and oxygen to be available, and roots to be healthier and stronger.

​

FSC Green Technologies offers three varieties:

hydroFLAKES: To be used mixed with soils or other substrates.          


hydroFLAKES: To be used alone.          


GreenFOAM: Soil improving foam.

Fig Production in Greenhouse:

The annual yield of a fig orchard in Mexico is 5 tons per hectare in a greenhouse. With HydroFLAKES technology, 86 tons per year per hectare can easily be achieved.

The Most Successful Producer in Sinaloa and the Cultivation of Blueberries

They made the first commercial production of blueberries using the hydroFLAKES product. They had 14,000 pots with coconut fiber + peat substrate in two different mixtures and 3,350 with hydroFLAKES, where the base is gravel, then six liters of hydroFLAKES and a cover of sawdust.
